Fly, fly away…

I’m jetting off to Taipei tomorrow! Hooray!

Taipei here I come!

I’m still not done with the packing despite having a day off yesterday. I had hoped to leave the office on the dot to go back to do my packing but look what happened – I’m still here at 7.20pm. I managed to clear most of my work (I think) and I just sent an email to my Assistant Manager for her to follow up on some outstanding tasks. I kinda feel bad about going on leave and leaving all the work to her. Gosh. I think I really need a break. Screw work.

Anyway, I hope the weather isn’t too unbearably cold in Taipei. If I could survive 16 degrees celsius in Melbourne, I should be able to cope with 19-21 degrees in Taipei, right?

Since I’ll be out of Singapore for the next seven days and most likely won’t be able to update my blog, this will be my very last entry for 2008. I really can’t believe the year has gone by so fast. With the new year approaching, it’s time for new resolutions again. I already have a few in mind but I shall write more when I return.

Happy new year to all my faithful readers and here’s wishing everyone a successful and prosperous 2009. Party hard and don’t miss me!

See you all in the brand new year!

Four days to Christmas

Christmas is just four days away. And 2008 will be over in less than two weeks. I know I’ve said this before but I’m going to say it again – time really flies! I always feel a wee bit sad during this time of the year because after the festivities, there’ll be nothing left to look forward to.

Having said that, I’ve been striking out the dates on my office calendar and I’ve been counting down to January since September. I’ll start to look for a job actively in January and hopefully I’ll be able to find something by April. Hopefully.

Anyway, I’m long done with my Christmas shopping and my Christmas “projects” for the girls. I hope they’ll like my gifts for them. Hahaha.

Can’t wait for the gift exchange on Tuesday!

Another sign of getting old

I was browsing my Facebook account when I chanced upon one particular album posted by my ex-colleague at SRC, Lillian. I was surprised to find the following hideous picture of myself with my SRC colleagues in that album.

Lunch at mysterious restaurant

The problem is, I have no friggin’ impression of when and where this picture was taken!!! Going by the attendees, this photo should be taken sometime in 2004. Gosh! 2004 feels like eons ago.

Come to think of it, could it be Thai Express at Plaza Singapura? It’s rather unsettling not being able to recall the purpose behind this particular gathering.

I think I’m going to have to agonize over this for a while. Oh well.
